Improve your delivery reliability through more transparency

The regular determination of one's own delivery reliability is a critical aspect for many companies, as it represents an important building block for supplier evaluation with customers. The company's own delivery reliability can be evaluated according to several criteria: in relation to the delivery date agreed in the order, the first confirmed date or the customer's desired date. The SAP standard does not offer a way to determine one's own delivery reliability for scheduling agreements.

Since the delivery reliability of suppliers has a major influence on the company's own delivery reliability, it is also important to have an overview of this. The supplier's delivery reliability is also an important factor when it comes to commissioning a supplier. The corresponding key figure can be determined using a method such as VDA 5001 (logistical supplier evaluation). For this purpose, quantities delivered and posted in the goods receipt are compared with the open order quantities (schedule line quantities) at the time of delivery. In the case of delivery schedule lines and delivery schedules, the relationship between quantity and on-time delivery performance is also relevant. However, the SAP standard functions do not sufficiently support the determination of delivery reliability.

SPEEDI Delivery Reliability SAP MM
Our solution for evaluating the delivery reliability of your suppliers: The solution SPEEDI Delivery Reliability MM assigns delivered quantities to the schedule lines that are open at that time when the goods receipt is posted, uses this information to determine the key figure for delivery reliability, and stores it in a SPEEDI-table. The results can be selected in a monitor ("Delivery reliability supplier MM view") according to parameters such as purchasing organization, plant as well as supplier or material number for the desired period and clearly visualized in an ABAP list viewer report (ALV). For each individual goods receipt posting and based on the assigned schedule lines, it shows whether a delivery was on time, early, or late and calculates the key figure for delivery reliability according to VDA 5001.
SPEEDI Delivery Reliability SAP SD
The solution SPEEDI Delivery Reliability SD provides suppliers with the necessary transparency as to whether they themselves meet the delivery dates requested by the customer. By comparing the deliveries posted in goods issue with the corresponding delivery and JIT delivery schedules of the customer, which serve as the target, it determines where short or excess deliveries occurred and which delivery was earlier or later than agreed according to the SAP delivery schedule. The number of days by which a deadline was missed is also calculated, as well as the deviation in percent. The result of the evaluation is visualized SPEEDI Delivery reliability SD clearly and traffic light functions immediately signal the delivery schedules that contain late deliveries (red) or too early deliveries (yellow).

The YODA business analytics suite provides KPI packages for various requirements. The KPI package Delivery Reliability can be completely integrated into the existing SAP software (SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA) as an SAP-based add-on. With YODA, you can answer questions about your own delivery reliability quickly and clearly, regardless of whether you are working with scheduling agreements or sales orders. Reports or dashboards can be generated at the push of a button, which you can use to optimize your processes and thus your own delivery reliability. The key performance indicator package offers various options for evaluating logistics delivery performance in accordance with VDA recommendation 5011 and for uniformly measuring delivery reliability in accordance with VDA 9003 in the automotive industry.
