WSW Software GmbH focuses their presence at the LogiMAT 2019 (Hall 8, Booth C05) on innovative SPEEDI® solutions. With these solutions, automotive suppliers using SAP software can fulfill current requirements on logistics processes consistently with IT support. This way, they are well prepared for the future.
The roll-out of global EDIFACT messages can be handled efficiently using the SPEEDI "Global EDI Messages" solution package and mappings from WSW Software. SPEEDI maps the additionally required data fields, for example, for the forecast delivery schedule (VDA 4984) and the shipping notification (VDA 4987), integrated into the SAP software and fills them automatically with correct contents. This is a significant advantage, especially for suppliers of the Volkswagen Group, who will only be able to send shipping notifications per VDA 4987 to the manufacturer from 2019 onwards.
With the new mappings in SPEEDI, Daimler suppliers can transfer the data from the pick-up sheet (PUS) according to VDA 4985, which they will receive in the future in addition to the forecast delivery schedule, completely and correctly into their SAP system. The delivery notes are also respectively adjusted and stored in SPEEDI. Moreover, with the SPEEDI SD Scheduling Agreement Copier, the cancellation of the existing SAP scheduling agreements for Daimler as well as their new creation as scheduling agreements for delivery orders, which become necessary due to the PUS, can be largely automated.
Requirements of the new VDA recommendation 4933 for transport notification and order confirmation can also be mapped and processed directly in SAP processes using a special SPEEDI module.
SPEEDI solutions also come into play as part of the introduction of the new WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standard for determining the exhaust emissions of motor vehicles. The test is causing a new vehicle registration backlog, with many OEMs throttling production and requesting lower delivery quantities from the suppliers than agreed. The supplier recognizes immediately, whether specified tolerance limits are violated, using the SPEEDI Tolerance Line Check during data entry from the forecast delivery schedule into the SAP system. He then can take appropriate actions. The SPEEDI solution "Release Order Behavior Analysis with Aggregation" goes one decisive step further: It uses cross-scheduling agreement analysis of the release order behavior to identify significant customer or material-level violations on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, and provides the supplier with convincing arguments in price negotiations. At the same time, he can promptly adjust his production planning and plan the warehouse stock at an early stage, thus smoothing the processes in the supply chain.
Additional product highlights presented by WSW Software at the LogiMAT 2019 are the SPEEDI solutions for customs and foreign trade which can be used across all industries. With them, processes for cross-border goods traffic can be fully integrated and automated into SAP software, from customs clearance in the ATLAS procedure, to preference processing and long-term vendor declarations (LTVD), to certificates of arrival. This reduces interfaces and system discontinuities to a minimum, resulting in significantly more efficiency, speed, transparency and reliability in customs and foreign trade processes – a real added value.
WSW Software also presents a transition package for SPEEDI, which ensures the smooth conversion of the add-on to SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management (version 1809), and the new Business Analytics Suite YODA® for a quick and affordable entry into business analytics. YODA consists of modular KPI packages that integrate seamlessly into an existing SAP landscape, providing key figures such as orders on hand "out of the box", clearly and in near real time. Moreover, with the add-on JUNIQ®, which is specially designed for SAP S/4HANA, companies are also prepared for the challenges of digital transformation.
