The AIS Group (Automotive Interior Systems) has successfully introduced the LOJISTIX JIS and logistics platform from WSW Software at its Czech site for stable and secure JIS processing with a well-known German OEM. The modular JIS standard solution also provides the flexibility that AIS needs to quickly implement specific JIS requirements for this automotive customer. Every day, AIS delivers interior components - driver's side and passenger side storage compartments - for around 900 vehicles to the customer's production plant in the correct sequence.
Thanks to the collaborative partnership between the JIS experts at WSW and the internal AIS project team with short coordination paths, the implementation of LOJISTIX was completed in just over four months. This was despite the fact that various challenges had to be overcome during the course of the project, such as the OEM's requirement to supply not just one, but two production halls with components for series and pre-series vehicles per module, i.e. for drivers and co-drivers, as originally planned. For the complex truck loading scheme that resulted from this, AIS requested a container check during order picking. The necessary functional extension could be implemented in LOJISTIX via configuration.
An extended screen mask now shows the picker the storage position of the components in a container in a graphically clear and color-coded manner (yellow, green, red, blue), matching the sequence order displayed on the PC monitor. This makes work much easier. When a truck route is created, a position is also automatically determined for each container in the truck and thus the loading sequence. Thanks to a range list developed specifically for the JIS processes, which is transmitted once a day, the supplier always knows which and how many components are in the warehouse and in transit or whether the stock is running low.
